Hand-lapping is a time-consuming finishing process which results in superior valve fit for noiseless, responsive action and easy tone changes. Hand-lapping achieves the perfect balance between air tightness and smooth action.

Clear epoxy lacquer
Microscopic, electronically charged particles of lacquer are attracted to and deposited evenly on the surface of the instrument carrying the opposite charge. This produces an exceptionally thin, uniform coating that can be oven hardened for maximum durability without compromising the instrument's sound.
