Product Information

Used Schilke/Yamaha YTR-9X3 C rotary trumpet in silver plate. This is a unique one-of-a-kind prototype instrument made by Reynold Schilke for Yamaha, during their collaboration. This instrument is stamped Yamaha, but was purchased directly from Schilke by the current owner in May of 1977. This instrument, while originally raw brass, was silver-plated after the fact by Schilke in June of 1978. The insturment was brought back for plating upon the insistence of Reynold Schilke himself, who preferred that insturments he produced be silver-plated.

Included with the instrument is copy of the original receipt for both the sale of the instrument (bought through Schilke) and the silver-plating of the trumpet (done by Schilke). Instrument is essentially brand new other than heavy tarnish to the silver plate. This is your chance to own a piece of trumpet history!
