Historic Fifes

The purpose of these “historic fife” pages is to give a look into the manufacturing of fifes over the last 200+ years.

During the coming weeks, we will be adding a different feature instrument from the collection of Steve Dillon, as well as from the collections of museums and other collectors.

This study is by no means a “last word” in the development of fifes. It is a study that is an evolving/changing work that will develop as new information comes to light.
